What are Telegram Stars?
Telegram Stars are Telegram's own balance for paying bots and digital goods inside the app — similar to credits in other app stores. HAINT never sees your card number; the card step (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), when needed, is handled entirely by Telegram's purchase flow.
I don't have Stars yet — how do I get them?
When you pay, Telegram will offer to top up Stars first. You can use a card there; on many phones that flow supports Apple Pay or Google Pay. A Telegram account is required for checkout.
Having trouble topping up? Stars purchase is run by Telegram, not HAINT — if it fails in one client, try another with the same account: Desktop ↔ mobile app (iOS or Android) ↔ Telegram Web. What works varies by platform and region.
How does minute counting work?
Usage is billed per minute of active use when HAINT is processing audio and generating AI hints. The actual consumption depends on:
- Length of your conversation
- Frequency of AI hint requests (when you press Ctrl to get AI response)
- Complexity of the conversation context
Note: Nothing is charged when HAINT is idle or when you're not actively using the AI assistance feature.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
For Pro subscribers: If your Balance has funds, extra usage continues automatically at your Pro rate (1.5¢/min). If your Balance is empty, Safe-mode activates after a 30-minute overdraft buffer — HAINT pauses and offers to top up your Balance. No auto-charges or surprise fees.
For Standard: If your Balance reaches zero, HAINT pauses (Safe-mode) until you top up. Balance funds expire after 6 months of inactivity (no top-up and no usage). Any activity — top-up or using HAINT — resets the timer for your entire Balance. If your Balance expires, your remaining funds are forfeited. You can always start fresh with a new top-up.
What happens if I use more than 1000 Pro minutes in a month?
Your session won't be interrupted. If you have funds in your Balance, extra usage is billed at your Pro rate (1.5¢/min) — the same rate as your subscription. You can top up your Balance anytime at haint.tech/pricing.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
You keep full Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.
Your Balance funds stay on your account — we never take your money away. The only change is your rate: future usage will be charged at the standard rate (5¢/min) instead of the Pro rate (1.5¢/min).
Example: $15 on your Balance = ≈1000 min with Pro, or ≈300 min without Pro.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Pro subscription anytime. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.
Do minutes roll over?
Pro subscription: No, Pro minutes reset every month. Unused included minutes do not roll over.
Standard — Balance funds: Yes, unused funds remain on your Balance until they expire (6 months from last activity: top-up or usage). If you have no activity for 6 months, your remaining Balance is forfeited. You can always start fresh with a new top-up.
Does my Balance expire?
Your Balance is valid for 6 months from your last activity. Any top-up or HAINT usage resets the timer for your entire Balance. As long as you use HAINT or top up at least once every 6 months, your Balance never expires.
If you have no activity for 6 months, your remaining Balance is forfeited. You can always start fresh with a new top-up.
